Welcome to our life journal. We have recently transplanted ourselves from Southern California into the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Washington. Our move was motivated by a desire to live in an area lush with both beauty and outdoor activities. Standing about knee-high by our sides are our two lovable mutts, Lizzy and Beaver.

We feel that this new chapter in our lives is worth documenting, and we are ecstatic to share  our new experiences with you. This blog is a labor of love, and we would be overjoyed if our pictures and writings entertained you.

Our goal in life is to work hard so that we may have enough to indulge in all manner of outdoor outings. We can often be found hiking, fishing, scaling mountains and fording rivers. We have quickly learned to love the rain, sleet, and snow that sustains this Emerald State.

When circumstances call for alternative activities, we can be found in our home creating. Nicole with her beautiful depictions of the world around, and myself with my words.
